The various types of NGN number hold different benefits dependant on your business needs.

0800/0808 Numbers

This type of number is often referred to as a Freephone number. When using an 0800/0808 number the caller pays nothing for the call and the call charges are incurred by your business, as the user of the number. This type of number gives out the message, “we want you to call us”. If your business were looking to generate more sales this type of number would ensure you achieved this. 0845 Numbers

With this type of number the cost of the call is shared between the caller and the customer. 0844 Numbers

This a new number range, with customisable low call rate options. With this type of number you can choose call rates of one, two, three, four and five pence per minute. 0870 Numbers

With 0870 numbers the total cost of the call is borne by the caller. The caller always pays a standard higher rate, wherever they are calling from. Many businesses use this type of number to provide an after-sales service such as a dedicated customer support line. 

0871 Numbers

This final type of number is often called a fixed national rate number. The total cost of the call is borne by the caller.
